Overview
The unique Švédská Residence project is near to the historical centre of Prague and only a few dozen metres from Na Hřebenkách Street. The Švédská Residence is part of the classic villa building from the beginning of the 20th century. Since that time it has been one of the most sought-after areas in Prague. Houses in this area have been newly reconstructed and give the area a special charm. Thanks to its unique location in the middle of an enclosed area, the Švédská Residence is an ideal home for families with children.
The neighbourhood around the Residence invite you to take refreshing walks, for example in the Kinský Gardens on the southern and south-eastern slopes of the Petřín Hill, one of the largest green areas in the city. Children can look forward to visits to the Petřín lookout or maze in the Petřín Gardens. Nearby Lesser Town is ideal for romantic strolls in the narrow streets or visits to charming cafes. The Prague Castle, where you can visit the Old Royal Palace, the Prague Castle Picture Gallery or the world-renowned Golden Lane is within walking distance of the Švédská Residence.
The district of Smíchov features a whole range of other monuments. Particularly noteworthy are the Portheimka summer villa, where the oldest Czech Cartesian monastery originally stood. Lovers of classical music will be delighted by the vineyard estate of Bertramka or the Museum of W. A. Mozart. Bertramka also includes a garden, home to the sala terrena with original paintings dating from 1700 to 1780, and which is used as a concert hall.
