Though the Švédská Residence offers peaceful housing, big-city bustle is just around the corner. It’s only a few minutes walk to the Kinský Gardens, Petřín, Lesser Town, the playground at the Children’s Island (Dětský ostrov) and the French lycée. You can do your shopping at the Nový Smíchov shopping centre. Entertainment can be found at the Palace Cinemas and Village Cinemas. For a bit of culture, head to the nearby Švandovo Theatre or the Futura Gallery.

There is also a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool at Smíchovské nádraží.
